What is Blackjack with Doppelganger?
Many casinos are
now offering a blackjack option called blackjack with
doppelganger. This is another way to have fun while
playing
blackjack. This takes the normal game of blackjack
and adds a side bet to the action.
The player will be dealt two cards as in normal blackjack, but before the hands are dealt, the player can choose to make a side bet. This side bet will be a wager on the two cards that are dealt. This side wager can be the table limit and pays of on odds depending on the strength of the two cards.
When a player gets a true doppelganger will be two cards dealt that are the same denomination and the same suit. For instance, if the player is dealt two queens of hearts, which could happen in a multi deck shoe, then they would have been dealt a true doppelganger. The player will be paid twenty five to one if they have a true doppelganger.
There are other ways to make a doppelganger. Another way is to have two of the same face value cards and the same color. A two of hearts and a two of diamonds would pay the winning player twelve to one on their wager. Two of the same face value with different colors would pay six to one to the winning player.
